Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains how Laylock Ltd ("Laylock", "we", "us") handles personal data you provide through this website. We are the data controller for that information.

What we collect

If you contact us through the enquiry form, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, organisation, email address, enquiry type, and the content of your message. The form opens a message in your own email application - nothing is submitted to or stored on this website.

Cookies and third-party requests

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising technology.

Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page opens, your browser requests those font files from Google, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. We do not receive or store that information.

Why we use it

We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry and to follow up on any resulting correspondence. Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is legitimate interests - specifically, our interest in responding to people who choose to contact us about our work. You can object to this processing at any time using the contact details below.

How it is handled

Enquiries are sent by email to Laylock's directors and are treated in strict confidence. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

We use Google Workspace to provide our email. Google therefore processes enquiry correspondence on our behalf as a data processor, under contractual terms that require it to protect that information. We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law.

Where your data is held

Our email provider may store or process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards required under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

We retain enquiry correspondence only for as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry and any related discussions, after which it is deleted.

Security

Correspondence is held in access-controlled business email accounts protected by strong authentication, and is available only to Laylock's directors.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date shown at the top.
